Mr. Johny Messo

Johny Messo photoJohny Messo, who holds a B.A. in Hebrew and Aramaic Languages and Cultures from Leiden University in the Netherlands, is the President of the World Council of Arameans (Syriacs) (“WCA”). Since 1983, the WCA is the global umbrella organization of the Aramean (Syriac) people and since 1999 it is also a recognized NGO in Special Consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. In the last two decades, Mr. Messo has written several publications  and has lectured throughout Europe, the USA, the Middle East and India, about past, present and future questions pertaining to the Aramean (otherwise known as Syriac) people. Recently, he published a book titled “The Aramean (Syriac) People: Their History and Identity.”
